The show will feature musical performances by many world-renowned musicians, including several Academy instructors. Marie Sabe, who attended the LA Music Academy vocal program in 2004, was the victim of a violent crime in late January. While at her place of work in Los Angeles she was attacked by a man working as a janitor (now known to be an ex-convict on parole) and was stabbed multiple times. She remains stable and is recovering remarkably well, but has a long and difficult road to recovery. Due to her injuries and inability to work, Marie needs help with living expenses and medical bills. Performers will include Katia Moraes and Sambaguru, Vocal Department Chair Kevyn Lettau, keyboardist Russell Ferrante (The Yellowjackets), Dorian Holley (Vocal Instructor, American Idol coach), Diana Booker (Vocal Instructor), as well as other special guests. The LA Music Academy is located at 370 South Fair Oaks Avenue, in Old Town Pasadena. Tickets prices are $30 (plus donation) and are available at the LA Music Academy.
